After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to the Heavenly Lake, nestled about 1,910 meters high in the Tianshan Mountains. After a final shuttle bus ride, you'll arrive at this stunning alpine lake. Enjoy several hours here to hike along the lakeshore, surrounded by snow-capped peaks, evergreen forests, and meadows. Return to Urumqi in the afternoon and visit the vibrant Grand Bazaar (Erdaoqiao Market). Explore this massive complex where you can find a vast array of Xinjiang specialties, from spices and dried fruits to traditional crafts and musical instruments, experiencing the local hustle and bustle.

Next, explore the ingenious Karez underground irrigation system, a 2,000-year-old engineering marvel essential to life in the desert oasis. Conclude the day at the Jiaohe Ruins, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Wander through this vast, remarkably preserved earthen city built on a mesa, best experienced during the golden light of sunset.

Here, you can see traditional Uyghur mud-brick homes and observe local life, often including a home-hosted lunch to sample authentic Uyghur cuisine and famous Turpan fruits. Later, drive back to Urumqi Airport for your evening flight to Kashgar. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel.

After lunch, lose yourself in the enchanting maze of Kashgar's Old Town. Embark on a full-day journey along the epic Karakoram Highway (KKH). This breathtaking drive offers stops at local Kirgiz villages, the dramatic White Sand Mountain, and the stunning Karakul Lake. Set at over 3,600 meters, the lake's crystal waters reflect the mighty peaks surrounding it, including the majestic Muztagh Ata (7,546m). Experience the stark beauty of the Pamir Plateau before arriving in Tashkorgan, a Tajik Autonomous County.
