Day 1 | Arrival in Xi’an
Arrive at Xi’an airport or railway station. Meet your private guide and transfer to your downtown hotel. If you arrive early, you may stroll along the ancient City Wall or explore the Muslim Quarter for local street food. Overnight in Xi’an.
Day 2 | Xi’an – Terracotta Warriors & Local City Sights

Day 5 | Zhangye to Jiayuguan
Travel onward to Jiayuguan. Tour Jiayuguan Fort, the western terminus of the Ming Great Wall. Walk through the massive fortress complex and learn its role defending the ancient Hexi trade corridor. Overnight in Jiayuguan.
Day 6 | Jiayuguan to Dunhuang
Drive or take train west toward Dunhuang. Arrive and check-in to hotel. In the late-afternoon, visit Singing Sand Dunes and Crescent Moon Spring. Experience walking on huge desert dunes as the sun sets over the Gobi. Overnight in Dunhuang.
Day 7 | Dunhuang – Mogao Grottoes
Full day visit to the UNESCO-listed Mogao Grottoes. Explore selected cave chambers covered with magnificent ancient Buddhist murals and sculptures, representing centuries of Silk-Road artistic achievement. Return to Dunhuang town in late afternoon. Overnight in Dunhuang.
Day 8 | Dunhuang Free Day / Optional Extra Sites
Flexible day in Dunhuang. You may choose to visit Yardang National Geopark, local museums or simply relax and explore Dunhuang’s old-town streets. Overnight in Dunhuang.
Day 9 | Dunhuang – Travel to Turpan
Travel by flight or overland transport to Turpan, the famous low-lying desert oasis of Xinjiang. Check in at the hotel. Feel the unique dry-hot climate of the Turpan Basin. Overnight in Turpan.
Day 10 | Turpan Full-Day Sightseeing
Discover Turpan’s key attractions: tour Jiaohe Ruins, the ingenious Karez underground irrigation system, Grape Valley vineyards, and the dramatic Flaming Mountains. Experience authentic Uyghur oasis life. Overnight in Turpan.
Day 11 | Turpan to Urumqi
